How Can I Get Cheap Airport Parking at Manchester Airport?

Looking for the cheapest place to park at Manchester Airport? That’s something we can help you with!

The cheapest options are usually off-site and these can be both official and unofficial. Between those two (officially being airport owned) you’ll often find the unofficial (third party owned) options offering the cheapest rates at Manchester Airport.

However, there’s more to it than that. The cheapest options may have longer transfers to the airport (in some cases much longer) and they may even require you to cover the drop-off/pick-up fee at the airport - which can eat into any savings you thought you’d secured!

There’s then questions such as who keeps the keys and will anyone need to drive the car?

Anyway, for passengers looking for cheap official Manchester Airport parking, JetParks 1 and JetParks 3 are among the cheapest options. Again, we refer to these as 'official' car parks because they're owned by the airport and in both cases you keep your keys and pay no additional fees to be picked up by and dropped off by the shuttle.

Cheapest Official Manchester Airport Parking Options

However, independent off-site car parks can be cheaper still. In the table below, we've displayed prices for several reputable third-party parking providers.

Cheapest Independent Manchester Airport Parking Options

Do you see why there's a bit more to this than is apparent at first? The independents are all good options that review well, but Quick Access Parking requires you to pay 2 x £6.50 (which at the time of writing, knocks it off the perch as the cheapest).

Maple Park & Ride is one of our favourite options at Manchester Airport, but the shuttle bus takes longer - not a problem as such, but important to understand in advance.

Keep in mind that prices fluctuate, so you should always get a quote for your exact dates and times.

The easiest way to find cheap Manchester Airport parking is to compare several car parks for your exact travel dates rather than booking the first option you find. We’d suggest comparing with yours truly (Cheap Airport Parking), but other options do exist, ahem, Holiday Extras and SkyParkSecure, to name but two.

It’s also a good idea to search for discount codes, from time to time we offer our own here: Cheap Airport Parking Discount Codes.

What's the cheapest way to park at Manchester Airport?

There are a few ways to keep the cost down:

  • Choose Park & Ride. Parking away from the terminals and taking a free shuttle bus is often cheaper than on-site parking which is within walking distance of the terminals, but do make sure that you won’t be expected to pay the airport drop-off/pick-up charges.
  • Book in advance. Prices can increase as availability becomes limited, particularly during school holidays.
  • Compare official and independent car parks. JetParks may be the cheapest official option, but it's worth checking to see if third-party operators can offer lower prices, especially those that are also located close to the airport.

Where's the Cheapest Place to Park at the Airport?

For official Manchester Airport parking, JetParks 1 and JetParks 3 are among the cheapest long-stay choices. JetParks 3 serves Terminals 2 and 3 and JetParks 1 serves Terminal 2 only, both using free shuttle buses.

If you're happy to park at an independent car park, options such as Quick Access Parking, Maple Park & Ride and APH Park & Ride can cost less.

However, the lowest price isn't always the best deal. A slightly more expensive car park might offer a shorter transfer, allow you to keep your keys (if that's important to you) or provide more flexible cancellation terms.

Also, some options, often the cheaper ones, require you to pay the airport's drop-off and pick-up fees on top of the parking price. Sometimes when you factor this into the equation, it changes which option is the cheapest overall.

Our advice: Start with the cheapest Park & Ride, then compare it with the next two or three options to see whether paying a little extra would make your journey easier.

How Much Does It Cost to Park at Manchester Airport?

Manchester Airport parking can cost less than £6.50 per day when booked in advance (Maple Park & Ride worked out at £6.43 per day in our price snapshot for a 7-day stay from 9th Nov to 16th Nov 2026), although prices vary considerably depending on the car park, travel dates and length of stay.

Where Can I Park Near Manchester Airport for Free?

We don't recommend leaving your car in nearby residential streets for the duration of your holiday. There have been reports of cars parked in residential areas being vandalised, and leaving your vehicle unattended for several days could put it at risk.

A better option is to book airport parking in advance, which is usually cheaper than paying on the day, or arrange for someone to drop you off at the airport.

Manchester Airport also has a free drop-off option, so you don't necessarily have to pay to be dropped off. However, the free drop-off area is away from the terminals, and you'll need to use the airport's shuttle service to reach them.
