Long Stay Parking

Bristol Airport's Long Stay Car Park has been designed with the customer in mind. It's located just a short walk from the terminal (5 to 15 minutes). The car park has plenty of spaces, so you can always find a spot.

The car park has been awarded the Park Mark award, which means it's considered a safe place to park and is equipped with CCTV, ANPR, a secure perimeter, and 24-hour monitoring.

Silver Zone Car Park

The Silver Zone car park is located a short drive from the airport terminal and has a shuttle bus that runs every 15 minutes. Just grab your luggage from your car, hop on the bus, and you’ll be at the terminal before you know it.

This is an official parking option that offers valet parking and car washing service—additional fees apply.

Postcode: BS48 3DW

Short Stay & Pick Up

The Short Stay car park is located just a 2-minute walk from the terminal. It’s more expensive than Long Stay options, but it’s convenient and is the ideal option for shorter vacations and pick-ups.

We recommend checking out this option if you’re booking a vacation of 6 days or less.

Postcode: BS48 3DY

Multi-Storey Car Park

Conveniently located opposite the terminal building (3 or 4-minute walk), the Multi-Storey car park provides covered parking with wide bays.

It's possible to pay on the day, but great savings can usually be made by booking in advance. It will also guarantee that you’ll find a space, although that’s not usually an issue here.

Note that there's a height restriction of 2.1m with this option.

Waiting Zone

Postcode: BS48 3DW

The Waiting Zone is a specially created area that has been designated for taxis and the general public who are dropping off and collecting passengers.

The car park is located by the Silver Zone and you can stay for up to an hour with no charge. After that, it can get expensive, as seen below:

0-60 mins = Free 1-2 hours = £25 Each additional hour or part of thereafter = £20

Airport Information

Bristol Airport Information

Bristol Airport first opened in 1930 and was originally known as Bristol (Whitchurch) Airport. In 1957, the airport began organising international flights and was renamed Bristol International Airport. The airport is located 8 miles (13 km) southwest of Bristol city centre.

Bristol Airport has one main terminal building split into two sections—North and South. The North section is used for domestic flights, while the South section is used for international flights. There are also two separate areas for arrivals and departures.

In 2021, Bristol Airport announced an ambitious plan to reach net zero airport operations by 2030.

The airport has a wide range of facilities and services available for passengers, including shops, restaurants, bars, banks, currency exchange outlets, ATMs, a business centre, conference facilities, and Wi-Fi.

You will also find the following shops and eateries before and after security:

Shops at Bristol Airport (After Security)

  • WorldDutyFree: Sells alcohol, chocolates, and everything else you love and know you shouldn’t. Also perfume.
  • WHSmith: You can’t have an airport without a WHSmith. It’s in the Magna Carta. Probably. Pick up some books and magazines, assuming you didn’t already bring them from home, which you almost certainly did.
  • JD Sports: Grab some sporty clothing for your holiday.
  • INMOTION: Sells headphones and other electronics that could be useful for your travels.
  • Superdrug: Pick up meds for headaches, travel sickness, and whatever else ails you.
  • TheBookShop (at WHSmith): A bookshop within a bookshop. It’s bookception. It’s perfect for idle browsing, reading a few synopses, and then remembering you already brought books from home.
  • ACCESSORIZE: A popular fashion location that seems to be at every UK airport these days.

Eateries at Bristol Airport (After Security)

  • Soho Coffee Co: A great little coffee bar with a top menu.
  • Brunel Bar & Kitchen: A classic airport pub, with food and drink.
  • Tortilla: Californian-style Mexican food served in Bristol. What can go wrong?
  • Starbucks: A coffee classic to grab a pick-me-up on the go.
  • Burger King: Don’t have time for a sit-down meal? Grab some fast food instead.
  • Frankie & Benny's: Is it American? Is it Italian? No, it’s neither. But who doesn’t love Frankie & Benny’s?
  • Cabin: Wine, beer, and locally sourced food are all on the menu here.

Shops at Bristol Airport (Before Security)

  • WHSmith: Here it is again. Take it in, as you won’t see another one until you step through security. And then again when you land.
  • M&S Simply Food: It’s not just any Bristol Airport food. It’s M&S Bristol Airport food.

Eateries at Bristol Airport (Before Security)

  • Ritazza: A little shop with a range of cold and hot drinks. It’s a good place to sit down and enjoy a few drinks while meeting friends or preparing for their departure.

Airport Lounges & Fast Track

Bristol Airport Lounges and Fast Track

Bristol Airport has a Fast Track Security option that costs £6 per person. Booking Fast Track will give you access to a priority security service. You still need to go through the usual checks. You may still face the frustration of spending the morning finding metal-free clothes and removing all of your jewellery, only for a strap zipper to trigger the alarm.

However, if there is a large queue, you can skip it. Unless everyone was thinking the same thing, in which case the queue for Fast Track could also be long.

If you’re looking for a little luxury between flights, book into the Aspire Lounge.

It opens a 4 am every morning and remains open until 8 pm. You will get complimentary food and drinks, as well as access to free WiFi, separate business and family zones, complimentary newspapers and magazines, and more.

It also claims to offer “dedicated toilet facilities”. We assume it means there is a toilet for lounge users only, as opposed to a sentient toilet that really loves its job.
