It is possible to pay in advance or you can simply pay on the day, at the exit barrier.

Is 'Drop & Go' the correct place to drop off and pick up at Manchester Airport?

No. Drop and Go Manchester Airport is a brand of parking for the use of customers who are leaving their car for an extended period. This option is not to be confused with the 'Pick up and Drop Off areas'.

Manchester Airport has joined the ever increasing list of UK airports to charge customers for the privilege of dropping off passengers.

As such, if you want the convenience of pulling up right outside any of the three terminals, you’re going to need to cough up a fiver, or more if you don’t get a move on!

The drop off zones are just that, a place to drop off, nothing more. Don’t get any ideas about accompanying your passenger to the terminal or taking too much time over goodbyes... Keep it brisk or be prepared to pay!

Although similarly expensive to other major UK airports, the drop off zones are also similarly convenient. Each terminal has one and they’re all just outside the main entrances to the departure halls.

If you’re in a hurry, have lots of luggage or generally just want to avoid hassle, the drop off areas at Manchester Airport are your best bet.

Blue Badge Holders

Blue Badge Holders are exempt from the drop off zone charge, however, they must not exceed the drop off times set out above.

Manchester Airport Pick Up

First things first, don’t try picking up from the drop off zones!

Terminals 1 & 3 - Pick Up Locations:

Note: Terminals 1 & 3 are located a short walk from each other.

  • Terminal 3 Multi Storey - Domestic Approach, Manchester M90 1NN

  • Terminal 1 Short Stay Car Park - M90 3EX

  • Train Station - Malaga Ave, Manchester M90 3RR

Note: The Train Station is located pretty much halfway between Terminals 1 & 3 and terminal 2. It’s a bit of a trek with suitcases and potentially too far out of the way for those who are unable to walk far. It's worth noting that the enitre walk from all terminals to the station is covered thanks to the Skylink - a raised walkway with travelators.

Terminal 2 Pick Up Location:

Terminal 2, West Multi Storey Car park, Level 0.
